TEHRAN- The deputy head of the EU's foreign policy expressed satisfaction of his meeting with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the secretary of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations.

Enrique Mora stated in his official account on the X platform, “Good to recover contact with Araghchi in a new chapter for Iran. Looking forward to working with him again.”

The two officials held their talks on Wednesday in Tehran, discussing different issues regarding relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Europe.

Mora was in Tehran to attend the inaugural ceremony of Iran’s new president Masoud Pezeshkian, which was held on Tuesday.

In recent days, Iranian media have mentioned Abbas Araghchi as one of the candidates for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the fourteenth government.
